AXP’s Company Trip at Cameron Highland ~ Day 2

Early in the morning

I really had a bad sleep and woke up at about 5 am, with 2 to 3 hours’ sleep only. No choices, since I’ve waken up and couldn’t fall sleep again, I did exercises, read newspapers and magazines, until breakfast was prepared at about 7 am.

We continued with our meeting at about 9 am. A new management methodology was introduced: “绩效飞轮”, and we also officially launched our core value: CREATE value:

C: Care
R: Responsibility
E: Enthusiasm
A: Ahead
T: Teamwork
E: Excellence

In connection with the introduction of our core value, six banners are hanged at our Corporate Headquarters. Isn’t it very nice?

The meeting ended at about 11.30 am and we moved on to have our lunch at Brinchang town centre. As Cameron is a tourist centre, there are quit a lot of un-ethical shops. Luckily, we had a good host who helped us a lot, including finding good restaurants. Another thing to take note is that we should review their food manual before entering the shop for self-protection.

Boh Tea Plant tour

When we had our lunch, our first stop is Boh Tea Plant. Since today is Sunday, many people started to drive back and we had no choice but trapped in the long traffic queues. That’s not the end of the story, the plant is located about 2 km from the main road, and the road accessing to the plant is so small that, for certain part of the road, it can accommodate one car at a time for both directions, beside the road is cliff. How exciting!! And I was driving Sam’s car. You know how much pressure I had?? Uncountable!

When we reached there, I had a little regret, why we are here? Anyway, we walked to the restaurant and had another wonderful round of gathering, my regret disappeared immediately! Again, the scenery is excellent, with cold wind, how nice if we can live in such a nice environment?

After a round of tea break, we walked back to the parking place via tea plant. I never walked in the tea plants, it’s another great experience! No doubt, our colleagues took lots of photo to keep this sweet memory.

When we were driving back, it’s much more challenging than we came to the plant. Initially, we thought that there won’t be much people driving to the plant as it almost the closing time. Unexpectedly, there are still a lot of cars driving from the opposite direction. The critical part is that, certain part of the road can only accommodate one car for both directions. We were trapped in the jam again!! This time, it’s very, very challenging!! My heart almost jumped out! It’s really torturing me!

We were caught in the jam...

Strawberry farm

Subsequently, we proceeded to a strawberry farm, just beside the Cactus Valley.

Helene silently took this photo... we like it!

We bought some vegetables, and took photos with local fruits and vegetables. At about 5 pm, we drove back to prepare for tonight’s barbecue.

When I reached the apartment, it’s a real relief for me after the “nightmare”!! I just lied on sofa to take a short nap of approximately ½ hour.

Barbecue dinner

At about 7 pm, we went down to prepare for the barbecue.

Vivien and Helene prepared a lots of foods, and there are still a lot of foods left. We had a great time taking lots of photos, thanks to Helene for her brilliant and creative ideas.

See who are the most enthusiastic guys at AXP?

Nice posture right?

This picture, everyone was so serious. And next...

Everyone was acting cute. And next...

Keith was so shy when everyone looked at him...

We were looking at our dreams....?! Yes, our dreams are closer and closer to us...

After that, we went back for another round for craziness. Kenneth was the organiser for the games session. It’s fun, crazy and enjoyable, I never had such a wonderful experience for a long, long time!

At 12 am, we had a surprise for kenneth as 6 July is Kenneth’s birthday, and I did something that was unexpected… see photo below… haha, how crazy was I by carrying Kenneth?

After a night of craziness, we finished our games at about 1 am. One night of sensation, one night of craziness, I believe I couldn’t forget what has happened in this trip!
